By now your students know how important plants are for releasing oxygen into the atmosphere and as producers in the Earth’s food webs. Yet do they know how dependent they are on plants in their every day lives? The following activity is meant in increase student comprehension of how they are connected to plants.

Adapt the activity to include other items that you know your students use or find magazine pictures of items for them to track back to their plant source.

This activity is also relevant for intracurricular writing skills. (See the higher resultion pdf at bottom.)
