Cypripedium calceolus
Lady Slipper (Yellow)


They are found in the woods.


They are like the pink lady slipper, except with a yellow irregular flower. Like all lady slippers, the flower is like a hollow balloon. The flower sits on its own stem. Leaves are long and slender with veins that stand out along their length. They bloom in the spring.

  • Flower Type: Irregular flower
  • Flower Color: Yellow
  • Leaf Arrangement: Around the base only
  • Plant Type: Wildflower (Medium - 6-8 inches)
  • Leaf Type: Long, narrow and entire (smooth edge)
