Range

They are found in Southeast Asia and the Malayan Isles.

Habitat

They live in trees, shrubs and rocky areas.

Body Traits

They are 10 -12 inches long and a grayish-blue with orange-brown spots. They have a large head and big eyes. They have good eyesight. They have big, fat toes that help the gecko climb.

Habits

The Tokay gecko is more aggressive than other geckos, coming at you with its mouth open and biting if picked up. They live up to 10 years.

Diet

They eat insects, baby birds, and small mammals.

Predators

They are eaten by snakes and collected by man.

Reproduction

Females lay 2 soft, sticky eggs in a crack, hole or next to a rock. The eggs harden soon after they are laid.
