Range  

They are found along the east coast of Madagascar.

Habitat  

They live in the rainforest.

Body Traits  

They can weigh up to 8 pounds (4 kg). They can reach 4 feet long, including their long tails. The body alone can be up to 2 feet (56 cm) long. They have reddish fur with a black face and white patch on the back the head.

Habits  

They live in family groups and spend a lot of time grooming each other.

Diet  

They eat fruit and leaves.

Predators  

They are killed by snakes eagles, fossa and man.

Reproduction  

Females are pregnant for 3.5 months (gestation) and have about 3 babies.

Lifespan and/or Conservation Status  

Unknown lifespan. They are listed as critically endangered.
