There are several ways to approach trail signs:
  1. The simplest “numbered sign” accompanied with a printed interpretive guide.
  2. Black and white (can be color too) vinyl imprinted signs (must be brought in before the freeze.)
  3. Full color, embedded plastic permanent signs.
1. Simple numbers that can mark sites for a paper nature guide that is handed out or available at trail head, i.e. carved number, painted number. stick numbers.
2. Black and white (can be color too) vinyl imprinted signs (seasonal).
3. Color printed signage using weather proof materials (permanent).
